i hate exchange server. a corrupted database crash was bad enough this morning. but i’m still here now trying to rebuild it. martin has done his best to provide some insight from his evil lair over at microsoft but alas, the prognosis does not look good.

[10:38pm] it’s been a while since i’ve been in the lab this late. i am now remembering why i stopped doing it.

[edit 04:22am] a qualified success! now the debate between staying here until other folks show up or going home and getting a few hours of sleep and coming back.

[edit 07:15am] well, i got public folders back. and i managed to restore my entire inbox, deleted messages, saved folders, and calendars from tape. but for some reason it errors when i try to restore anyone else’s mailbox. now getting a nap in will be really awkward.
